Torsten Overgaard

Senior counsel · License hearings, tickets and commercial licenses

Torsten reads a notice or a citation the way an engineer reads a blueprint: line by line.

Torsten Overgaard handles the cases that turn on paper: license hearings, serious tickets and commercial-license violations. He reads notices and citations line by line, and he says plainly what a driver can and cannot change.

He works in English. When a client prefers Spanish, Lorena joins the call, so nothing gets lost between the lawyer and the client.

How Torsten reads a citation

He starts with the dates. When the notice was sent, when it was received, when the deadline falls. A surprising number of cases turn on those three lines.

Then he looks at the license class. A commercial driver and a private driver can hold the same citation and face very different consequences, so he asks about the job before he talks about the fine.

You leave the first meeting knowing what paying would do, what contesting would do, and what each costs.
