Charged or ticketed? Call or text me.

I'm Lorena Aldrete, a Las Vegas lawyer for people charged with DUI, facing a license hearing or holding a serious ticket. Call or text in English or Spanish, and I'll tell you the first deadline and the fee in writing.

Sample matters

How three sample cases ended

Each card is a sample matter written for this site. What happens in yours depends on your facts, and I say so on the first call.

  • Dismissed

    First-offense DUI, field tests

The video didn't match the report on why the car was stopped.

    Sample matter

  • Saved

License, DMV hearing after a refused test

The paperwork was incomplete, and the license stayed valid.

    Sample matter

  • Reduced

    DUI amended to reckless driving

Amended before trial: no jail, one class and a fine.

Sample matters, not real clients. Every case is different, and past results don't guarantee a similar outcome.

Before the court date

Your license has a deadline the court doesn't know about

After a DUI arrest the DMV can act on your license separately from the criminal case, and the window to ask for a hearing is short, often days. If you call me first, that's the first thing I check.

Bring the paper the officer gave you, even crumpled. I read it with you, tell you what I see, and tell you what it will cost.

  • I ask for the DMV hearing before anything else

  • You get the answer in plain words, in English or Spanish

  • One lawyer from the first call to the last hearing

What I handle

Which paper did you get?

Four kinds of driving case, each with its own clock. Pick the one in your hand.

  • Light trails on a wide multilane highway at dusk, with yellow lane lines

    DUI arrest

The stop, the tests and the charge, from the first court date to the last.

  • Two hands holding the steering wheel inside a car

    License notice

The DMV acts on its own clock. I ask for the hearing and argue it.

  • Red and white light trails on a busy freeway at dusk, seen through a chain-link fence

    Reckless driving

Speeding far over the limit, reckless driving and tickets that threaten a commercial license.

  • Three adults sitting and talking in a bright room with a large plant

    Under 21

Stricter limits for young drivers, and the school and job questions that follow.

Sample reviews

The first hour, as clients remember it

  • “I texted from the bus stop outside the station. She answered in ten minutes, in Spanish, and told me exactly what to do first.”

    Esperanza O.
  • “She read the officer's report out loud and showed me the two pages that didn't match. I stopped feeling like it was already decided.”

    Lamar B.
  • “My commercial license was on the line. Before I paid anything, Torsten explained what each ticket would do to it.”
