Five steps

From the first text to the last hearing

  1. 01

    Step 1: Call or text

Say what is on the paper. If you texted, I answer by phone or in writing, whichever you prefer.

  2. 02

    Step 2: The first deadline

I find the closest one, usually the DMV hearing request, and I file it.

  3. 03

    Step 3: A first meeting

At the office, by video or by phone. You leave with the fee, in writing, and what it covers.

  4. 04

    Step 4: The file

I request the report, the video and the test records, and read them with you.

  5. 05

    Step 5: Court, and after

I go with you or for you, tell you what to expect before each date, and call you after it.

Before we meet

Bring what you have, even if it is crumpled

You do not need everything on day one. Whatever you have is enough to find the first deadline.

Bring

  • The ticket, citation or arrest paper

  • Any notice from the DMV

  • Your court date, if you have one

  • Your driver's license and insurance card

  • What you remember about the stop, written down

Start with a call or a text

Ready to start? The first step is one text

Send your name and what is on the paper. I will call or write back.

Texts aren't a secure channel: share the basics, and save the details for our call.
